Prince Albert Senior ‘B’ Outlaws begin inaugural season with a 19-4 loss to the Saskatoon Brewers

The Prince Albert Outlaws played their debut match in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League Senior ‘B’ Division at the Dave G. Steuart Arena on Friday night, falling to the defending champion Saskatoon Brewers by a 19-4 score.

Player-coach Lawrence Holizki said the team performed better than expected, especially considering how few practices the Outlaws held leading into opening night.

“It was a lot closer than we thought it would be. The boys battled hard,” Holizki said.

“With only having three practices prior to this game it’s a rough transition. We’ve got a few guys that have only been at one game or one practice, so it’s definitely a rust thing but I’m sure it’ll come. Nobody’s down on themselves, so that’s good.”

The Brewers outscored the Outlaws 6-1 in the first period, 5-1 in the second and 8-2 in the third.
