6 suspects arrested in Sandy Bay aggravated assault

Six people, including four youth, have been arrested in relation to an aggravated assault in Sandy Bay in which the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

At about 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, RCMP received a report of several people threatening to injure a man in his home.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim “severely injured.” Windows were broken and furniture and appliances had been damaged.

They provided first aid to the man until paramedics arrived. He was transported to Saskatoon via air ambulance.

With the assistance of the Prince Albert General Investigation Section, 19-year-old Kobe Ray, 21-year-old Fabian Morin and four youth have been arrested. The youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused were scheduled to appear in Prince Albert court on Monday.

The investigation is ongoing.
