2 injured in single plane crash outside of Archerwill

Two men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a single plane crash about nine kilometres west and six kilometres north of the Village of Archerwill.

Greenwater RCMP were called to the scene just before 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.

RCMP found two occupants who were trapped inside the plane. At the time of takeoff, there was extreme fog and frost present.

Archerwill Fire Department, Rose Valley and Naicam EMS, and STARS air ambulance helped with emergency response.

The two men, 58 and 52, were safely removed from the place.

The incident is not being considered as criminal at this point of the investigation.  

Archerwill is roughly 190 km southeast of Prince Albert.
