Woman injured after sea-doo explodes on Emma Lake

A 54-year-old woman is in good and stable condition after a sea-doo exploded on Emma Lake.

The incident occurred on Friday, Aug. 2 at around 4:10 p.m. near the Birch Bay area of the lake. The sea-doo exploded while the woman was trying to start it, according to a Facebook post from the Lakeland and District Fire Department.

Parkland Ambulance reported that the woman was thrown “several feet” and injured. She was transferred to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon after being treated. No other injuries were reported.
