Tip leads to trafficking arrest

Police arrested a woman who once figured on the city’s most wanted list, and turned up 14 baggies of methamphetamine.

Officers were following up on a tip, called in through Crime Stoppers, that the woman had been spotted at a residence. They pulled up to the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue West, and found the suspect outside.

The woman was arrested on outstanding warrants. When officers searched her, they found 14 baggies containing 5.8 grams of methamphetamine.

The 21-year-old suspect, of Sturgeon Lake, was set to appear in court Thursday to face charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking and breach of a prior court order.
