A printing company that began business in June declared themselves officially open Tuesday afternoon.

The UPS Store doesn’t align with the visual most associate with the company, said owner Bill Chow.

“We’re The UPS Store, which means the UPS business centre…UPS is, of course, big brown trucks, that’s what everybody’s image is and…there are no big brown trucks in Prince Albert. UPS has a contract with a private courier company in Prince Albert to do those deliveries.”

Their services include printing canvases and posters, mailing and packing.

Although the summer was quiet, Chow said it was for their benefit.

“It was good because it provided us the opportunity for our staff to be comfortable with what they needed to learn,” he said. “There’s a lot of equipment here and a lot of different functions.”

He added customers started trickling in after the September long weekend.

The UPS Store is located at 599 – 28th St. West, by South Hill Mall.
