The BC RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance locating two men who are suspects in a double homicide and who were last spotted in northern Saskatchewan.

Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky were a subject of a missing persons investigation. However, they are now considered suspects in a suspicious death investigation of an unknown male victim and in the double homicide of Lucas Fowler and Chynna Deese.

The pair was last spotted over 24 hours ago in Northern Saskatchewan. Police believe they are continuing to travel, though they don’t know where. They were last seen driving a grey, 2011 Toyota Rav 4.

The RCMP told media outlets that they are intentionally withholding the location in northern Saskatchewan the two men were last seen as it was over a day ago and they may have travelled a long distance since.

‘We’re trying to stress ot the public not to focus on the last confirmed location of Bryer and Kam,” an RCMP spokesperson said in an email.

“We want the public be mindful that we received those photos within the last 24 hours, however the photos were taken some time before that. We believe that they have travelled since that time, and we are asking all Canadians to remain vigilant of them, not to approach them and to call 9-1-1 should they recognize them or the vehicle they were last known to be in, a grey 2011 Toyota Rav4.”

“The investigation is complex and evolving very quickly,” the force said in a media release.

“Investigators continue to follow up on tips, reviewing the physical and digital evidence collected, and share information. We once again ask the public to call us with any information.”

Anyone with information can call the major crime tip line at 1-877-543-4822 or 778-290-5291.

The RCMP is requesting members of the public take a look at the pictures of the two men. If you see them, call 911 immediately.

McLeod is described at 6-foot-4, about 169 pounds with dark brown hair and facial hair and brown eyes. Schmegelsky is also described as six-foot-four and about 169 pounds. He has sandy brown hair.

The double homicide the two men are suspected of took place between Sunday, July 14 and Monday, July 15. Deese is from the US and Fowler from Australia.

They were found near a highway in northern BC.

They are also wanted in connection with a second suspicious death investigation in northern BC, where a deceased man was found near a vehicle fire.
