Police are investigating after a 72-year-old man from the Shellbrook area was killed in a single vehicle collision Thursday.
According to a media release, at about 8 a.m., RCMP responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision involving a semi trailer unit on Highway 302 about 25 km west of Prince Albert.
The westbound semi had left the road and ended up in a ditch. The driver and lone occupant was determined to be deceased at the scene.
Traffic was restricted around the location for several hours, but the highway has since reopened to normal traffic.
The investigation in ongoing with the assistance of the provincial coroner and the RCMP traffic reconstruction analyst.
