Raiders pre-season slate announced

Prospective players will have five games to make an impression if they want to earn a spot on the Prince Albert Raiders roster for the 2019-20 campaign.

The defending Western Hockey League champions will have five pre-season games during the month of September, which were announced on Wednesday as part of the league’s exhibition slate.

Their first game will take place Wednesday, Sept 4 at the Art Hauser Centre at 7 p.m. against the Moose Jaw Warriors.

The Raiders will then travel to Warman for a neutral site contest against the Saskatoon Blades on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m., with a rematch against the Warriors slated for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw.

A home-and-home series with the Regina Pats will wrap up the exhibition slate for the Raiders, as they’ll visit the Brandt Centre on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. before welcoming their provincial rivals to Prince Albert on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.

The WHL pre-season will run from Aug. 27 to Sept. 15.

The 2019-20 regular season schedule will be released later this month.
