Prince Albert police recover stolen property after traffic stop

A traffic stop on Tuesday led to the recovery of stolen property from break and enters in the Prince Albert area.

According to a news release, members of the Proactive Policing Unit conducted the traffic stop on the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue East.

This led them to execute a search warrant at a home on the 500 block of 10th Street East.

Officers found stolen property including firearms, ammunition and tools. Investigators are still trying to match the stolen items with break and enters in and around the city.

Tyson Tobey, 28, is facing charges of possession of stolen property, trafficking property obtained in the commission of an offence, possession of a controlled substance, breach of probation, breach of a conditional sentence order and several firearms-related charges.

He made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
