Prince Albert man charged with trafficking meth

A 46-year-old man from Prince Albert has been charged with drug trafficking and weapons offences after Wednesday afternoon raid on his home.

At 12:34 p.m. on September 13, the Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET), made up of members of the RCMP and Prince Albert Police Service, executed a search warrant on the 100 Block of 28 Street West.

A lone male occupant was arrested inside, cash and cell phones were found in his possession.

The residence was searched and a loaded .45 calibre handgun with magazines, as well as a pellet handgun, were located. A locked case was found, with large bags of methamphetamine totaling 140.1 grams as well as several small baggies of methamphetamine totaling 11.5 grams. A large amount of cash was also seized from the case.

The suspect has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana not exceeding 30 grams, eight gun-related charges and possession of property (money) not exceeding $5,000 from proceeds of crime.

He is due in court today.
