Police seize drugs, weapons in separate investigations last week

Prince Albert’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) arrested five people and seized drugs and weapons in two separate investigations last week.

Just before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers conducted a traffic stop on the 800 block of 15th Street East. They then executed search warrants in two Prince Albert homes, one on the 1000 block of 13th Street West and the other on the 300 block of Pine Drive.

They located methamphetamine, a loaded sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, three digital scales and ammunition.

A 36-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man are jointly charged with drugs and firearm-related offences in relation to this investigation. A 36-year-old man is also facing one count of possession of a controlled substance.

A separate ISET investigation on Friday resulted in three suspects facing charges.

Police executed search warrants in three homes, finding a small amount of cocaine, packaging materials, cell phones and a functioning taser flashlight.

A 28-year-old man is charged with two counts of failure to comply with release conditions, a 29-year-old man is facing three counts of failure to comply with release conditions and a 32-year-old woman is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

ISET is made up of members of the Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP.
