Police are now treating the suspicious death reported on August 16 as a homicide.

The Prince Albert Police Service issued an update on the death Tuesday, following the conclusion of an autopsy.

They also confirmed the identity of the deceased man as Duane Brett Ledoux, 25, of Prince Albert. A family member had previously told The Herald Ledoux may have been the man found dead.

There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Police visited a residence last Wednesday at about 6 p.m. while responding to a call. They discovered a body and contained the scene.

The residence is on a block lined with boarded up houses, some of which have burned in recent fires. It is almost directly across an allegy from the place Dylan Bennett was stabbed and apparently left to burn last month.
