Police investigating after man shot early Monday morning

Prince Albert police are investigating an incident that left a man with non-life threatening injuries.

Just before 3:30 a.m. on Monday, officers responded to a weapons call on the 1600 block of Muir Drive. They found one man with a gunshot wound.

They arrested a suspect and recovered a firearm; however, police have not laid any charges.

A media release said the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) responded to 288 calls between Friday night and Monday morning, making 49 arrests. Thirty-three of those arrests were for public intoxication.

Other calls were mostly for disturbances and evictions.
