Pinehouse Lake’s Alex Ross said he was shocked to discover he was $250,000 richer after scanning his lotto max ticket on the Dec 22 extra draw.

Ross said he was calm, even when he scanned the ticket again, but his wife was overwhelmed.

“I had to scan it a couple times to make sure,” said Ross.

Ross purchased the winning lotto max ticket at the Pinehouse Lake Co-op Grocery. He and his wife plan to become debt free and take a family trip.

“My wife and I love the outdoors,” he explained. “But we’re always stuck in the office. This lets us breathe a bit and take a day or two off.”

Ross said he is very grateful that Sask. Lotteries supports local sport, culture and recreation groups.
