The wheeling and dealing continues for the Prince Albert Raiders.
In their third deal of the day, the Raiders acquired 17-year-old goaltender Boston Bilous from the Edmonton Oil Kings Thursday for a conditional sixth round pick in the 2022 WHL Bantam Draft.
Bilous, who is from Langley, B.C. and is a ‘C’ listed prospect by NHL Central Scouting for this year’s draft in Vancouver, has a 3-4-1 record this year with a 3.56 goals against average, a .859 save percentage and a shutout.
A one-time committed player to the NCAA’s Denver Pioneers, Bilous was part of a log jam of netminders in Edmonton as they have 19-year-old Dylan Myskiw, 18-year-old Todd Scott and 16-year-old prospect Sebastian Cossa on their depth chart.
With the trade, Bilous joins 19-year-old Ian Scott and 18-year-old Donovan Buskey in the Raiders’ crease.
The WHL Trade Deadline takes place today at 4 p.m. Saskatchewan time.
