The first baby of 2020 was born only five hours into the New Year.
According to both the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Prince Albert’s New Year’s baby is Grace Kelly Morin, born at 5:02 a.m. at the Victoria Hospital.
Weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz. Grace, her three brothers and two sisters and mom and dad Christina Dorion and Gary Morin hail from Southend, Sask.
According to the SHA, everyone is “doing well.”
In a press release from the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Christina and Gary thanked Dr. Lalita Malhotra and the nursing staff at the hospital for a safe delivery of their new daughter. They also thanked the Victoria Hospital Foundation for gifting them a sled full of baby gear and gifts.
Grace was one of five babies born on Jan. 1 in Prince Albert. The hospital delivers over 1,500 babies each year.
