The charges relate to a March 22 assault at a downtown apartment building. At about 3 p.m., police and paramedics responded to a complaint of an assault in progress.
When they arrived, they found a 22-year-old man in critical condition. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim and the suspects are known to each other. The incident is not related to another homicide that occurred that week at the same building involving a 21-month-old child.
The accused in that case is due in court Wednesday at 10 a.m. *
*This is a corrected story. The story originally said the accused in the second homicide was due in court at 2 p.m. The Herald regrets the error.
