The five co-accused in the death of 22-year-old Kristopher Charles had their cases adjourned to later in the month.

The five suspects have each been accused of first-degree murder in the March 22 death.

Lindsay Rae Hendersen had her case adjourned to April 15 at 9:30 a..m. in Courtroom 2.

The four other co-accused, Kenneth Raymond Bear, Emilio Bouvier, Keegan Dustin Eagle and Joseph Ernest Okemaysim, had their cases adjourned to Tuesday, April 30 at 10 a.m. in Courtroom 2. Defence counsel indicated that the adjournment was required to find lawyers for all of the accused and to obtain disclosure from the Crown prosecutor.

All five remain in custody.

The charges relate to a March 22 assault at a downtown apartment building. At about 3 p.m., police and paramedics responded to a complaint of an assault in progress.

When they arrived, they found a 22-year-old man in critical condition. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim and the suspects are known to each other. The incident is not related to another homicide that occurred that week at the same building involving a 21-month-old child.

The accused in that case is due in court Wednesday at 10 a.m. *

*This is a corrected story. The story originally said the accused in the second homicide was due in court at 2 p.m. The Herald regrets the error.
