The Holy Trinity Catholic School Division was the only provincial school division which reported a loss of public money for the first quarter of the 2020-21 school division fiscal year.

The first quarter runs from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, 2020.

The loss was reported on Aug. 18. According to the province’s report four 75″ TVs were stolen out of the gymnasium at St. Michael School in Moose Jaw. The TVs were delivered Aug. 17 by school division staff to be installed on Aug. 18 at the school. When staff arrived to install the TVs on August 18th, the TVs were missing and presumably stolen.

“Security camera footage was reviewed but nothing was observed. Doors and entrances were inspected for signs of forced entry. The theft was reported to the Moose Jaw Police Service. The four TVs were replaced,” the report to the province stated.
The Ministry of Education has tabled its report to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.
