Man who was rescued from North Sask. River on Sunday dies

A 65-year-old man who entered the North Saskatchewan River early Sunday morning has passed away.

The Prince Albert Police Service announced the news Monday morning. The man had been in hospital after being rescued.

Witnesses report the man entered the river at roughly 7 a.m. on Sunday. Police, fire crews, and members of Parkland Ambulance all attended the scene.

Police do not suspect foul play, and do not consider the event suspicious.
