Trudel Family hopes to collect 1,000 pounds of food at annual Christmas concert
Every year the Trudel Family returns to Albertville, Sask. for their annual Christmas concert, and every year Janice Trudel is surprised by the support her family band gets from the local community.
“There’s something special about Albertville and part of the reason is it’s an amazing place of community and I think we as human beings are designed for being with each other,” she said.
“We always try to recognize the people in our area that have passed away over the year and so during the show it is our hope that you’re not only filled with the joy of the Christmas season, but it’s a tough time for people, the holidays, so we hope that it’s a source of healing.”
This year’s Trudel Family Christmas Concert takes place at St. James Parish in Albertville on Dec. 18. The concert will have extra significance for the band — parents Janice and Colin and children Graeme, Janaya, Jolissa and Declan — as they remember their “biggest fan,” who passed away in November.
