After a three-year hiatus, Gordon Denny Community School (GDCS) hosted their annual Christmas Tree Decorating night on Wednesday, Nov. 29. The evening included a visit to different classrooms around the school, each offering the opportunity to create a tree decoration. The event was open to students, their families and the community. Children and adults alike could be found deep in concentration as they worked on their project. At times it took some cooperation to create the different treasures. Once complete the works of art were then ferried into the community area and placed on the tree. Hot chocolate was on the go throughout the evening along with some visiting and catching up from years of the pandemic isolation. The evening ended, with caroling around the tree.
