Fresh Air Experience owners win legacy award

For its 26th annual legacy award, the chamber of commerce is recognizing a family business with deep ties in Prince Albert.

Ron Horn has been in the outdoor sports business since the 1970s. In 1979, he opened Fresh Air Experience on Central Avenue, and has run it since with the help of his wife and two sons.

The legacy award recognizes a longstanding business owner who’s made an impact on the wider community. Horn, whose family has supported well over a dozen local initiatives, said he’s honoured to join past winners like Malcolm Jenkins of Canadian Tire.

“You take a look at the families and individuals who are on that plaque, who won in the past, and it’s really quite humbling that you would be considered to be in that group of people,” he said.
