An autopsy has been completed on the body of a 46-year-old man found dead south of 15 Street East last week, but police still will not reveal whether they suspect foul play.
Police media liaison Sgt. Travis Willie said he can’t release additional details on the cause of death while the investigation is ongoing.
“We’re going to wait and as soon as we can release them we will,” he told the Daily Herald.
The investigation is in the hands of the Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division and the Office of the Chief Coroner of Saskatchewan. The police said they will not provide information on the identity of the man, at the request of his family.
They also noted that the two individuals who discovered the body have come forward and were interviewed by police. The two people came across the body last Wednesday and alerted a business owner, who called in the information to police.
