Daxa tracks alleged alcohol thieves

Six suspects have been arrested after a break-and-enter at the Golf & Curling Club.

At about 4 a.m. on june 27, the police received a call for a break-and-enter in progress at the Golf and Curling Club. A rock was used to break a glass window and gain entry. The suspects had already fled.

Video surveillance was reviewed. It indicated the suspects had not taken anything, but they had helped themselves to some of the alcohol behind the bar.

The K9 unit was brought in, and Const. Bighetty and PSD Daxa began tracking the suspects.

Six people matching the video footage wre located by officers in the Cornerstone Shopping District. All six were arrested.

The youth are facing a variety of charges, including Break and Enter, resisting arrest, breach of court order and two are charged with dusguise with intent.

All six suspects, ranging in age from 16 to 18, have been released and are due back in court July 18 and 19.
