Charges laid after discovery of break-and-enter tool

A 30-year-old man from Montreal Lake is facing two charges after police responded to a complaint that a man was walking around a Prince Albert residential building with a gun.

The incident occurred in the evening of Dec. 10, when members of the Prince Albert Police Service were called to the building on the 900 block of Central Avenue.

After reviewing surveillance footage, police located a seized a rifle and a pellet gun in one apartment. Upon further investigation, officers also located and seized a machete and a break-and-enter tool.

The man is charged with one count of Possession of Break and Enter Instruments and breach of prior court orders. He made his first appearance in provincial court on Monday.
