The Prince Albert Northern Bears saw their two-game winning streak come to an end with a 2-1 overtime loss to the Battlefords Sharks on Thursday.

Kiara Stewart had the only goal for the Bears, who outshot the Sharks 45-22 during the game, and 22-4 in the third period alone. Jordyn Blais had both goals for the Sharks.

Goaltender Dani Day stopped 20 shots for Prince Albert, while Haylie Biever made 44 saves for Battlefords.

With the loss, the Bears drop to 7-6-2-1 on the season. They face the league leading Regina Rebels in Prince Albert on Sunday in their final game before the Christmas break. Puck drop is 1 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
