P.A. Concert Band and Strings Orchestra unite for second joint concert

Last year the Prince Albert Concert Band and Prince Albert Strings Orchestra decided to team up for the first time for a group performance at Blessed Marie Rivier Catholic School.

The show went so well that this weekend the groups are getting back together to do it again.

“It was fun for everybody. The string players were all pumped how fun it was to have the winds and vice versa,” Concert Band director Kathleen Clarke said.

“The band just loved having the sound of the strings with it, so it was super fun for everyone. We’re excited to do it a second time.”

Strings Orchestra director Dean Bernier said the joint show is “back by popular demand.”

“We had several people say that they enjoyed it so much last year they really wanted us to do it again. So we geared our year for this concert,” he said.
