The Prince Albert Council of Women is calling for nominations for the 2017 induction into the women’s hall of fame.

This will be the 14th consecutive year a woman has been inducted into the local hall of fame.

According to a news release, the nominee’s work must be of benefit to the Prince Albert Community, but her contributions may have an impact on a wider scale. She will also have contributed to the community in more than one area and have a varied range of contributions.

The contributions can be through work, volunteerism or a combination of the two.

The nominee does not have to be involved with the Prince Albert Council of Women. Additionally, anyone, man or woman, can nominate a deserving woman for the award.

The nomination period closes on Feb. 13.

“We do have a few nominations, but there are so many deserving women out there, I know there are a lot more potential nominees,” said Rose Rothenburger of the Prince Albert Council of Women.
