Alcohol believed to be a factor

A Friday night collision that killed an 11-year-old girl may have been caused by impaired driving.

At 6:40 p.m. on December 21, Warman RCMP responded to a complaint of a head-on two-vehicle collision on highway 305 and highway 11.

A white half-ton truck was travelling along highway 305 when it was struck by a blue half-ton truck. There were three occupants in the white truck. Two were transported to the hospital with undetermined injuries. The third occupant, an 11-year-old girl, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The lone adult male driver of the blue truck was also transported to the hospital with undetermined injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in relation to the driver of the blue truck. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of a traffic collision analyst.
