The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) arrested suspects accused in two separate incidents this weekend—one accused of stealing a truck and the other of possessing methamphetamine.

At about 5 p.m. on Friday, police found a stolen struck in an alley on the 1000 block of Branion Drive.

When they approached it, a man ran away from the driver’s seat before officers arrested him.

The 25-year-old is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of ammunition dangerous to the public, resisting arrest and breach of a court order.

A few days later, officers arrested and charged a 38-year-old man from Humboldt.

Police stopped a suspicious vehicle on the 400 block of 8th Street East just before 2:30 a.m. on Monday.

They seized 5.3 grams of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects were scheduled to make their first court appearances on Monday.

The police service responded to 234 calls and made 46 arrests this weekend. Over half of the arrests were for being intoxicated in a public place.
