The Prince Albert Police Service Historical Crimes and Missing Persons Unit continues to investigate and are renewing calls for public’s assistance.

July 29, 2024, marks the 37-year anniversary of Samuel LaChance’s disappearance. Thirty-seven
years ago on July 29, 1987, LaChance was last seen leaving a residence on the West Hill in Prince Albert.

The police would like to thank the members of the public who have provided information about
his disappearance to this point. In a recent conversation with investigators, Samuel’s daughter told police, “His children miss him and think of him all the time.We wish someone would come forward so we can have peace of mind and give our father a proper burial”.

Samuel Lachance,formerly from Big River First Nation, was last seen in a Prince Albert beverage room on July 29, 1987.

Anyone who may have information concerning Samuel LaChance’s disappearance or activities on July 29, 1987 is urged to call the Prince Albert Police Service.
