Prince Albert RCMP have issued an arrest warrant after staff at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary discovered an offender was gone.
During the 9:45 p.m. count on Wednesday in the minimum security unit, 20-year-old Edward Daniel Ross was not accounted for.
A news release said the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is investigating the incident and working with RCMP to locate him.
Ross is 5’11” in height and weighs 199 pounds with a dark complexion, brown eyes and brown hair.
He’s currently serving a sentence of just under four years for disguise with intent, utter threat to cause death or harm, forcible confinement and break, enter and commit robbery.
Anyone with information on Ross’ whereabouts is asked to contact police.
