Update: According to RCMP Theresa Zabek has been located safe
RCMP are searching for a missing woman in the Smeaton area.
According to RCMP On Aug. 24, Smeaton RCMP received a report of a missing 82-year-old woman, Theresa Zabek.
Zabek was last in touch with loved ones on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Smeaton RCMP has now located her vehicle in a rural area northeast of Smeaton. Zabek is known to pick mushrooms in the area, thought it’s unknown if that is what she was doing at the time she went missing.
Smeaton RCMP is currently searching for Zabek with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services and Remotely Piloted Aircraft System.
Police are asking anyone who has seen Zabek since Aug. 21, or has any information on her whereabouts to report it.
Zabek is described as approximately 5’5” with a thin build. She has white hair and brown eyes. A photo of her is attached.
