A man charged for child pornography offences was sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Richard Nathan Harris, 30, pleaded guilty to the charges of possessing and transmitting child pornography on Thursday. The offences occurred in Prince Albert between January and April of 2016.

Crown prosecutor Gail Douglas said that Harris was also given numerous conditions to keep him away from children upon his eventual release. He is required to register as a sex offender for life.

When asked for the approximate ages of the children portrayed, Douglas said only that they were “young.”
