Up to 3,000 visitors expected to attend annual artisans’ show and sale
Lorri Wiberg says the Evergreen Artisan Market is more than just a trade sale.
“It’s a happening. It’s an event… This is an artistic, creative venue where anybody coming to Evergreen is going to walk out of there a little blown away,” said Wiberg, a board member on the Prince Albert Council for the Arts, the group that organizes the annual event.
“You can easily spend three, four hours at Evergreen listening to the music and having your supper on Friday night or lunch on Saturday and talking to the vendors. It’s an outing, it truly is.”
Wiberg said close to 40 vendors from Prince Albert and beyond will be taking part in the sale, with some exhibitors travelling from out of province to participate. The show is being held at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre on Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5. Aside from artisans, the event will also include food vendors and live music courtesy of local artists. Wiberg expects that between 2,500 and 3,000 guests will attend over the two days.
