Ahtahkakoop man faces multiple charges following RCMP arrest

The Prince Albert RCMP have arrested and charged 44-year-old Curtis Ledoux from Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation with possession of property obtained by crime, resisting arrest, flight from police, possession and reckless discharge of fireams with intent to prevent arrest.
Ledoux made his first appearance in Provincial Court on Aug. 22. He made another appearance in court on Aug. 23 and the case has been adjourned to Sept. 3.
On August 20 at around 10:15 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Sturgeon Lake First Nation. Officer continued to investigate to locate the suspects in a rural area near the community of Little Red River.
Police say one suspect was located hiding in a bush and arrested. Investigation determined the suspect vehicle had been reported as stolen in Weirdale on August 17.
Officers did not locate the second occupant and are still working on locating him. The suspect is described as a male with short black hair, approximately 5’8” and 140 pounds.
