11 injured after two-vehicle collision near Shellbrook

Eleven people were injured–some serious, some minor–after a two-vehicle collision outside of Shellbrook on Friday.

An RCMP news release said five people are in serious, but stable condition and six were treated for minor injuries.

Fourteen people were involved in the collision, all taken to Shellbrook hospital.

It occurred between two passenger vans just off of Highway 240 about 15 kilometres north of the community.

Ahtahkakoop, Shellbrook and Blaine Lake RCMP, Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS), Shellbrook Fire Department, Parkland and Spiritwood EMS and local first responders attended the scene.

RCMP continue to investigate.
