RCMP make 4 arrests following reports of threats on Flying Dust First Nation

Meadow Lake RCMP have arrested four men accused of uttering threats on Flying Dust First Nation.

Officers were called to the First Nation at around 1:55 p.m. on Sept. 1 following reports of a potentially armed individual uttering threats. They arrived to find the suspect in a vehicle with three other people outside a community event.

Officers arrested all four individuals a short time later. They also seized a loaded semi-automatic firearm and two loaded magazines.

Jordan Lachance, 27, Christopher Nolan, 24, Brenden Yew, 29, and Tayler Yew, 32, have all been charged following the investigation. All four men are from Meadow Lake.

The accused made their first court appearances on Sept. 3.

Loon Lake RCMP and Flying Dust First Nation community safety officers assisted with the investigation.
