Prince Albert Exhibition brings back Photography Show

This year’s Prince Albert Exhibition features an Amateur Photography Show where varieties of pictures done by all ages are showcased.
This is the second year that the Amateur Photography Show has been in the Main Hall.
“We used to have a photography show and we dropped it few years back because we had
so many categories and when it was brought back last year it was called amateur
photography show, getting back to basic roots, getting the kids involved “Debbie Schreiner of the Prince Albert Association said.

This year’s photography show is the second one after relaunching last year. There are three categories for ages 0-12,13-18 years and the open categories which are open to voting which ends on Saturday evening.

“l have a four-year-old in the open contest categories with peoples choice award and you can vote, last year, reason why l picked the open photograph is because they are bigger and not professional and the best picture chosen on Saturday night after the draw wins $100,”said Schreiner
They have changed age way the photographs are displayed after having them on the walls of the Main Hall last year.
“Last year when we had the exhibition these painting where hung on the walls but this year we decided to have it arranged for proper display to attract visitors to come to the stand.
They also did some outreach before the end of the school year to encourage entries from students.
“We informed the the school board, the catholic division and the public school to take entry from the children because we know that the children will need assistance from teachers to get the pictures ready”
