Prince Albert CRT seize drugs in Melfort

On Aug. 29, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and Melfort RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Burns Avenue in Melfort as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
During subsequent investigation, officers located and seized small amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine, a sum of cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia at the residence.
As a result of continued investigation, 36-year-old Bret Markowski from Melfort, SK is charged with one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine and one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000
Markowski is scheduled to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Nov. 4.
