Police weekend calls include break and enters and weapons complaint

Prince Albert police responded to 256 calls for service between Friday night and Monday morning, the majority of which involved disturbances and intoxication.

Break and enters

Police responded to a break and enter in progress on Monday morning.

They were called to the 1100 block of 18th Street West at about 5:20 a.m. for a report of a break in at a vacant residence.

Officers located a 39-year-old man there, who is now facing charges of break and enter and wilful damage under $5,000.

A separate break and enter is suspected to have occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning at a business on the 1400 block of Central Avenue.

A suspect unsuccessfully tried to steal several items.

Police continue to investigate.

Weapons complaint

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 31-year-old man in connection to a weapons complaint on Sunday.

Officers responded to the 2600 block of Second Avenue West after several people phoned in at about 8 p.m. reporting a man with a gun. The suspect left the area.

Police reviewed security footage from a nearby business and identified the man.
