No reported injuries after early Tuesday house fire

Prince Albert police are investigating a structure fire that occurred overnight on Tuesday.

According to a Prince Albert Fire Department Facebook post, 15 firefighters and four fire apparatus were on scene at about 2:30 a.m. on the 300 block of 12th Street East.

“Crews encountered heavy fire made worse by high winds and cold temperatures,” read the post.

The home was vacant at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The two story single family dwelling was declared a total loss.

Police looking for 21-year-old man after weapons call

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 21-year-old suspect in relation to a weapons complaint.

At about 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to the 1600 block of Manville Bay. A woman reported two men kicked in the door to her home and were outside with a knife.

Police located one of the two suspects nearby. The 29-year-old man is charged with mischief and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Mischief charge after attempted gas theft

A 39-year-old man is facing mischief charges after allegedly trying to steal gasoline.

A passerby contacted police at about 1 a.m. on Tuesday reporting suspicious activity of a man near a truck parked in an alley. Officers responded to the 500 block of 28th Street East, where they located the suspect underneath a vehicle trying to steal gas.

He’s charged with mischief and theft in relation to this incident.
