Names of people charged in Air Ronge case released

RCMP have released the names of three people charged after an incident in Air Ronge on Aug. 30. 

ON Saturday RCMP said that as a result of investigation, RCMP Major Crimes laid charges in relation to the Aug. 30 homicide of 28-year-old Andy McKenzie in Air Ronge.

Officers were called to Otter Street at around 6:30 a.m. on Friday following reports that someone was seriously injured at a residence. Police and local EMS arrived and transported a 28-year-old man to hospital where he was declared dead.

RCMP have charged 20-year-old Andree McKenzie of the La Ronge  area with one count, second degree murder, 33-year-old Sarah Isbester and 26-year-old Alisha McKenzie, both of the La Ronge area, are charged with one count, manslaughter. 

All three people charged were arrested without incident at a residence in the La Ronge area. They will appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Sept. 3. 

 RCMP Major Crimes and Prince Albert RCMP Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate with the support of La Ronge RCMP.
