EA Rawlinson Centre for Arts kicks off 2024-2025 Season with a bang

The EA Rawlinson Centre for Arts will kick off it 2024-2025 Season with pomp and pageantry on Sept. 18 when Donny Parenteau’s Colours of the Sash takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.
The event will showcase Parenteau himself, and features Metis fiddle and jigging performed by Metis artists.
“It feels great getting the 2024-2025 season going,” said Rawlinson Centre Production Manager Dannyll Challif. “It does every time we make a big announcement. Colours of the Sash is an event that we have been doing with Donny. It is a celebration of Metis music, so this year like other years promises to be exciting”
Parenteau is a multiple award winner and was newly inducted into the Prince Albert Arts Hall of Fame. Other guest artists that will perform at the event include Roland Corrigal, Freddie and Sheila Pelletier, JJ Lavallee, Lucas Welsh, Julianna Parenteau, Melanie Jackson and Dakota Favel.
This event is for all music lovers whether a Metis or not, there will something for everybody.
Challif said he’d like to see big turnouts for Colours of the Sash, and all Rawlinson shows over the next year.
“I would like to use this opportunity to invite the public to attend all of the 2024-2025 Season shows. It is going to be a fantastic season with diverse entertainment. We have got artists from Scotland, Ireland, United States as well as all across Canada, (and) quite a lot of home grown talents will be on the stage this year,” Challif said
“Viewers are advised to buy their tickets ahead of time as shows are selling quickly or they may unfortunately not be able to buy a ticket,” he added.
