The 35-year-old Saskatoon man who was in custody when he was charged last week with 37 voyeurism offences is convicted voyeur Kyle Ronald Hameluck.

The charges were presented, but not read out, during his Saskatoon provincial court appearance on Tuesday. Crown prosecutor Leslie Dunning confirmed 41 new charges were laid — 37 counts of voyeurism, three breaches of conditions and one possession of stolen property.

Hameluck has been in custody since his arrest on separate voyeurism, harassment and intimidation charges in March. Dunning said the latest charges, which stem from incidents between 2017 and 2024, are a result of further investigation into his electronic devices.

Hameluck was already charged with three counts of voyeurism, two counts of provoking fear by watching a woman where she lives or works “in order to impede her from doing anything that she has a lawful right to do,” one count of knowingly harassing the same woman and causing her to “fear for her safety,” five counts of prowling by night, eight counts of sexual assault and one count of assault.

Some of the charges stem from between January and March, court documents show. The sexual assault charges stem from 2014 and 2015.

Hameluck is now facing a total of 61 charges. He did not appear in court on Tuesday; his lawyer Patrick McDougall appeared by phone on his behalf. The case was set over to Sept. 25 as the defence continues to review disclosure.

Hameluck has a seven-year criminal history of secretly watching and recording women.

His first sentence was in 2017, when he received time served and three years probation for recording women through their windows and masturbating in public places, mostly in Saskatoon’s City Park neighbourhood, in 2014 and 2015.

While on probation, Hameluck made 42 recordings of 25 women who were either partially dressed, naked or engaged in sex. He was arrested in 2019 after surveillance videos showed him lurking around houses and apartments near the university, and was sentenced to two and a half years in 2020, followed by a two-year probation order.

While on house arrest during that probation period in 2021, he was caught inside his female neighbour’s suite, without explanation, while she was in bed. He was sentenced in March 2022 to time served and 12 months of probation for unlawfully being in a dwelling house.

According to the offence dates of the latest allegations, Hameluck is accused of reoffending approximately five months later.
