A 75-year-old woman from South Carolina was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 west of Mont Nebo.
Shellbrook RCMP were called to the crash at about 9:20 p.m. on Aug. 14. The collision happened roughly three kilometres west of the community.
Police, firefighters and EMS responded.
The woman was the only person in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. RCMP said she was from Walterboro, South Carolina. Her family has been notified.
The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.
Shellbrook RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
RCMP said that as of 8 a.m. on Aug. 17, there had been 59 fatal collisions and 72 deaths on roads patrolled by Saskatchewan RCMP so far this year.
