Wadena RCMP have charged a man after nine firearms and other weapons were seized at a residence on Fishing Lake First Nation
On Jan. 21, Wadena RCMP obtained a warrant and searched a residence on Fishing Lake First Nation after investigation determined there was illegally-possessed firearms inside of it.
Officers located and seized nine firearms, more than 450 rounds of ammunition and one crossbow and two compound bows.
An adult male was arrested near the residence for breach of a conditional sentence order.
As a result of continued investigation, 30-year-old Wyatt Desjarlais from Fishing Lake First Nation is also charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and unsafe storage of firearms.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Wynyard on Jan. 22.
