Drivers in La Ronge are being advised to plan ahead as municipal road closures affect traffic in different parts of town while crews carry out infrastructure and utility work.
The Town of La Ronge has announced two temporary road closures beginning Aug. 11. One closure affects La Ronge Avenue from Aug. 11 to Aug. 13, while a second closure is in effect on Bedford Drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 11.
According to the Town of La Ronge, Bedford Drive will be closed between Studer Street and Hegland Street to allow crews to complete utility repair work. The closure is expected to remain in place throughout the day before reopening once work is finished.
Residents living in the area and motorists travelling near Morley Wilson Park are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Access may be restricted while equipment and workers are on site.
The Town of La Ronge is asking residents to make any necessary adjustments to their daily schedules to accommodate the temporary traffic disruptions.
The road closures are part of ongoing municipal infrastructure maintenance aimed at ensuring the continued reliability and safety of local services.
