Two charged with armed robbery

The Prince Albert Police Service have charged two people with armed robbery and resisting arrest an incident on 28th Street West.
Officers were called to the unit block on 28th Street West at around 10 p.m. on Nov. 19 following reports of a robbery. Police were told a vehicle was stolen by two individuals brandishing knives.

Officers found the victim with what appeared to by non-life-thraetening injuries. She was assessed by Parkland Ambulance paramedics.

Shortly after, officers found the stolen vehicle on River Street West. Police tried to initiate a traffic stop, however, the vehicle did not stop and began to flee at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued and eventually ended up southbound on Second Avenue West where the stolen vehicle collided with another vehicle at the intersections of 30th Street and Second Avenue West.
The male and female occupants of the stolen vehicle then attempted to flee on foot, but were arrested by police shortly after.
As a result, a 19-year-old man has been charged with resisting arrest, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and evading police. The 22-year-old woman has been charged with resisting arrest and two counts of breaching an undertaking. Both have also been charged with robbery.
